HIS NAME

He is truly alone in this life.

His wish is for you is to see him and look him in the eyes.

As they drive by him, he is given a label....Bum, Drunk, Crack Head, Wino.
They have all ready judged him.

He asks nothing from you.

But Bum, as he is called, he only wants to give you something and
he longs and desires to give you the only thing he truly owns,
HIS NAME!

great thought sis.. sometimes folks are made to feel invisible..

i challenge any one here to ask a street person to share a coffee and roll with you this week sometime.

i bet it will be one of the best things you have ever done. just some time and conversation. its more important than food and clothes. we all need to feel like we matter.

cmon, show em the Lord in You.

Be Blessed

i'm a welfare worker. i've got to say that my favourite folks that i deal with on a regular basis are the ones that most people don't give the time of day to. they usually bring a smile to my face as we joke a tiny bit together.
i've started to volunteer at a community ministry here where i live so that on Tuesdays i have supper with a bunch of men who otherwise may not be able to afford supper at all. it's a blessing and i'm truly getting more friends as we get to know each other. i've blogged a little about it if you care to see some of my thoughts, but of course, you don't have to.

Dear Shallowfrozenwater....thank you for putting a smile on my face today. I just returned from our feed in the park and saw your comment. It take someone special to see the beauty in these wonderful people and I thank you for letting God open your heart to their beauty. I also thank you for sharing your self with them....they will always remember the love you extend to them........Be Blessed!
